The Kansas Water Plan is
used by the State of Kansas to coordinate the management, conservation
and development of the water resources of the state. It contains
recommendations on how the state can best achieve the proper use and
control of water resources. The Kansas Water Office is responsible
for developing the Kansas Water Plan. The
Kansas Water
Authority approved the Update of the 2009 Kansas Water Plan
on January 29, 2009. Implementation may be
through legislation, funding, or focus of existing agency(ies)'
programs.
